Becker's ASC Review article, "ASCs vs. HOPDs in 5 numbers" illustrates the difference in reimbursement, cost savings and national footprints of ASCs compared to hospital outpatient departments. According to "Beyond the Physical Environment" a report from Compass One Healthcare and Press Ganey, 30% more ASCs are in the U.S., compared to HOPDs as of July 2022.
