As Pathogens become more and more resistant to standard cleaning methods, reducing HAIs is a challenge Crothall Healthcare is meeting head-on. Ultraviolet light technology has proven effective in destroying pathogens in high-risk environments but often takes too long using a single emitter system.
Crothall has partnered with Surfacide, implementing its UV Triple-Emitter system to control infections at Jersey Shore University Medical Center. By using three emitters in a room at the same time, UV light can kill more pathogens faster and more effectively. After just 4 months of using the Surfacide Triple-Emitter system in high-risk environments, HAI incidence at JSUMC dropped to zero.
